Chris Madden Scores Carolina Clash Victory At Cherokee Speedway; Watkins Crowned Champion

Gaffney, South Carolina (11/19/23) - The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series traveled to "The Place Your Mama Warned You About" Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, South Carolina on Sunday November 19th for the annual "Blue Gray 100" event paying $20,000 to win. The event was co-sanctioned with the XR Workin Man Series. The 100 lap event was the final event for the Carolina Clash Tour in 2023.

Leading flag to flag Chris Madden of Gray Court, South Carolina held off competitors to score his thirteenth career victory with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series worth $20,000. Ben Watkins, Zack Mitchell, Benji Hicks, and Daulton Wilson rounded out the top five finishers. The fast qualifier of the event was Chris Madden with a time of 14.890 seconds. Heat race winner included Chris Madden and Zack Mitchell. The hard Charger of the event was Benji Hicks (Started 9th / Finished 4th).

As the 2023 season concluded Sunday at Cherokee Speedway for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series; Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, South Carolina scored his second career Carolina Clash Tour Championship (2023, 2015). Gray Parton took Rookie of the Year honors.
