Ben Watkins Scores 2023 Carolina Clash Season Opener Victory At Lancaster Motor Speedway

Lancaster, South Carolina (3/18/23) - The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series traveled to "The Fastest Half Mile Dirt Track In The South" Lancaster Motor Speedway located in Lancaster, South Carolina on Saturday March 18th for the annual "Red Rose Rumble" and the 2023 season opener event for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series paying $5,000 to win.

Setting a new track record in qualifying for Super Late Models at Lancaster Motor Speedway; Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, South Carolina started from the pole Saturday and led flag to flag to score his eighth career victory with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series worth $5,000. Daulton Wilson, Gray Parton, Adam Yarbrough, and Dennis Franklin rounded out the top five finishers. The fast qualifier of the event was Ben Watkins with a time of 18.140 seconds. The hard Charger of the event was Dennis Franklin (Started 12th / Finished 5th).
