Ben Watkins Scores Carolina Clash Victory At Carolina Speedway

Gastonia, North Carolina (8/12/22) - The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series traveled to "The Carolina's Action Track" Carolina Speedway located in Gastonia, North Carolina on Friday August 12th for the "50th Annual Gaston County Shrine Club Shrine 100" event paying $4,000 to win. The event was 40 laps.

Taking the lead midway through the event Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, South Carolina was able to score his seventh career victory with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series worth $4,000 along with his third victory with the tour this season. Michael Brown, Dennis Franklin, Jeff Smith, and Derrick Ramey rounded out the top five finishers. The Buffalo Bar and Grill "Buffalo Time to Beat" fastest qualifier for the event was Brett Hamm.
