Ben Watkins Scores 2022 Carolina Clash Season Opener Victory At Lancaster Motor Speedway

Lancaster, South Carolina (3/19/22) - The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series traveled to "The Fastest Half Mile Dirt Track In The South" Lancaster Motor Speedway located in Lancaster, South Carolina on Saturday March 19th for the annual "Red Rose Rumble" and the 2022 season opener event for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series paying $5,000 to win.

Starting from the outside pole Ben Watkins of Rock Hill, South Carolina took the lead the final time from Ross Bailes with three laps remaining Saturday at Lancaster Motor Speedway to score his fifth career victory with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series worth $5,000. Ross Bailes, Dennis Franklin, Jordy Nipper, and Timbo Mangum rounded out the top five finishers. The Ponce Realty Group presented by Nick Whitesides fast qualifier of the event was Ross Bailes with a time of 18.484 seconds. The Xtreme Custom Trophies Hard Charger of the event was John Price (Started 10th / Finished 6th).
